Captain Granger Resigns
Captain Ross Granger surprised the members of the Ann Arbor Light Infantry at the meeting Wednesday evening Dy stating that he liad forwarded nis re8ignatiou as captain to Governor Pingree. Business interests alone have eaused Mr. Granger to take this step, and there is no one in the city who has the interest of the company at heart in the smallest degree but will regret that he has feit compelled to take this step. He has done wonders with the company and it will be hard to find a perion to take his place who will be as popular with everybody as he is. The captain has been in the miiitary service of the state since he was a small boy, having jbined the Porter Zouaves as a marker in 1872.
