Fr. Gruenwald of Detroit, is the guest of Fr. Heidenreich'this week. Mrs. Id'dings was in Lansing last week visiting friends and relatives. Miss Bosa Wuerthner, who has been working in Ann Arbor the past year has returned home. Mrs. Geo. Sherwood, who has been visiting her son Guy and family in lowa, returned home Monday. Miss Marie Kirchhofer entertained the senior class and teachers of the high school Wednesday evening. Mrs. H. Calhoun and mother Mrs. Palmer left for Wichita, Kansas, Tuesday morning for an extended visit. A special train from Jackson arrived here Sunday afternoon with the remains oí Spencer Carr who died in that city Wednesday of last week ,of diabetes, at the age of 52 years. The A. O. U. W. lodge met the remains at the depot, and together with the lodge that came from Jackson, they marched to the Oak Grove cemetery where the burial cermonies took place. The deceased was a brother to Mr. Wm. Burtless aud Mr. Thomas Thorn, of this place.
