The University's Needs

The ways and means coinmittee of the house of representativas was in Aun Arbor Mooday afternoon for the purpose of looking over the needs of the nniversity with special reference to the appropriations for an eleotric lighting plant aud an addition tu the overorowded law building. Under the gnidance of the varions professors was shown through the different laboratorios, winding up at the law building, where speeches were made to the laws by several members of the party. They were then taken to tbe Cook nouse, where supper was served. Sorue of the committee left on the evening train, bot otbera remained over until next morning. The visitors seemed to be impressed with the jnstness of tbe request for additioual apptopriations and were unanimous in saying that tbey would be glad to recommend that they be granted, if it should be consistent with the lines of economy which have been laid down.
