Ypsilanti City Officers

At the meeting of the new Ypsilanti commoD conncil Monday eveniug, Mayor Harding in bis message made a strong lecommendation for the paving of streets and appointed the following oöicers : Marsbal, Oliver H. Westfall ; city physician, Edward Batwell; menber of board of public works, N. B. Perkios. The conncil then elected the following officers: Cleik. P. W. Carpenter; street commissioner, Thomas Creech; treasurer, R. W. Hemphill; chief of fire department, W. W. Worden ; attorney, Lee N. Brown ; surveyor, Charles Woodward. The first two named are republicans and the re uiainder are demoorats. The council stood a tie politically, but a combination to the above effect was sncessfnlly formed.
