St. Louis, Mo., Mar. 26. - Col. L. C. Baker, Sueprintendent of th Western Union ïelegrapb Co. for this disirict, died here last night of beart tfouble. Col. Baker was superintendent of military telegraph for the Confedérate army during the war A few weeks ago Col. Baker fainted on the street. He was not thought to be serionsly ill and his sudden death last night shocked his friends. Avooa, N. Y., Mar. 31- Eli P. Baboock of Battery A, 3rd N. Y. Light Artillery, says : "I write to express my gratitude for the miraeulous benefit recsived froru the use of Dr. Miles' Heart Cure. " Joliet, 111., Mar. 25.- Milton Harvey Evans, aged 66 years and oue of the jnost prominent citizens of Plainfield, Will Co., dropped dead of heart disease yesterday, whüe attending a funeral. Fort Wayne, Ind., Mar. 26.- Mr. T. H. Gonld, 86 Dewald et., this city, says: "For three years I was troubled with heart disease that became so bad that it was with difflonlty I conld walk or do any work. I used six bottles of Dr. Miles' Heart Cure and am now about and at my work as formerly. " San Franoisoo, Cal., Mar. 31. - C. M. Carter, a wealthy merohant of Boston, died at the Palace Hotel last evening from heart failue. Seneoa Falls, N.
