Washington, May 25. - The long deferred debate on the tarifE bilí was expected to open in the senate Tuesday. tt served to attract considerable crowds, although the galleries were not overtaxed during the early hours of the session. A. further conference on the Indian bilí was ordered. A resolution was agreed to requesting the president for all correspondence relating to the fur seáis in Bering sea. At 2:50 the tarifE was taken up. Vest gave notice that when the paragraphs were read he would move' to strike out the provisions relating to beer, manufactured tobáceo, sruff and cigarettes. Aldrich then opened the debate for the Republicans.
