They will rernain abroad for tvvo years of study. Cornell defeated the U. of M. at Ithaca, N. ï., Saturday in the baseball game, by the score of 14 to 2. Prof Bradley M: Thompson will go to London, Englaud.in August to study the workings of the English courts. At tomorrow's field day in Detroit, the great contest will be betweeo the U. of M. and Chicago Uuiversity athletio tearne. The '98 law baseball team went to Howell Saturday, and played a game with tbe local nine. They were defeated by a score of 16 to 4. A moveinent is cm foot to consolídate the University T. M C. A., S. C. A. and Y. W. C. A., and it is understood rhat some definite action has already been taken. The field day at the athletio field las Saturday was largely attended. Fou records were broken and two others equalled. A good showing for U. o: M. athletics. Prof. Rnssell will leave in Jnly for the Cascade Mouutains to take up bis work on the United States Geológica Survey. He will study the ooal mines of the Cascade región. The committee whioh had in charge the serviug of refreshments at the May Festival made $150, whioh will be turued over to the Woinan's gym. fund, less a small sum for minor expenses. Prof. A. A. Stanley will leave foi ISTew York June 21, where he will meei with the Musió Teachers' National Assooiation and read a paper. From there he will go to Boston, Providence, etc., and will sail for Enrope June 30. The law classmates of Middleswart and Wettnore, who, it is alleged, berayed their comrades in the ïeoent S. L. A. election, biss and groan at them when they rise to recite in class. Middleswart will leave college this week. The surveying class, consisting of 26 unior eugineers, will leave for Carp jake, near Traverse City, tomorrow norning. The party will be in charge of Prof. J. B. Davis, assisted by Messrs. Sllsworth, Parsons, and Blanchard. Prof. Davis left last Saturday with five men to prepare camp. The party will je out foor weeks. The details of the organization of the Central Debating League have heen 'nlly oornpleted after a year or 80 of negotiations in wbich Prof. Trueölood has taken the leadicg part.
