The anuual concert of the Glee and Banjo Clubs is to be held in üniversity hall toinorrow evening. Mrs. King, of Boston, who has been giving a course of lectures here on "Right living and right thinking," was asked so many inquisitiva questions by ourious students that they alrnost broke up her course. She says she never struck snoh a lot of students, and she has lectured to many colleges. - Detroit Tribune. At a meeting of the examining board held Tuesday afternoon, the Elisha Jones classical fellowship for the coming year was awarded to Dnane R. Stuart, of Detroit. Mr. Stuart is the sou of Rev. Reed Stuart, and feraduatad last year. During the present year he has been acting as instruotor in Latin. The present iucome of the fellowship is 500, and the period of incutubency is limited to two academia years. Dr. James N. Martin, who has been couuected with the meaical department of the tmiversity for 14 years, and for the last uiue years bas been professor of Obstetrics anci Diseases of Women, was granted a leave of absence for one year on aeoount of ill healtb, by the board of regeuts Wednesrlay. Dr. James G. Lynds, who has been bis demoustratot and assistant for nine years, was appointed to flll the place for the year. Dr. Martin will probably spend the greater part of his year's leave of absence in the Hawaiian Islands.
