During the past two or three years there has been considerable trouble in this state caused by rye getting mixed in the wheat. A large quantity of wheat that wonld otherwise be fine qnality, is ntterly rnined for ruilling pnrposes by tbe rye that is mixed throngh the grain, and many a dollar is lost to farmers that might easily and readily be saved by the exercise of a little oare dnring the nest 30 days to ent the clusters of ryo out of the wheat fields. Michigan millers require the best grade of perfectly clean wheat in order to produce flonr of as fine quality as they have been making the past 10 years or more. Michigan flrst grade flours are justly celebrated in the most discriminating markets both at home and in foreign oountriesi This reputation can not be maintained except by the uso of first class grain. Wheat mixed with rye brings only a low price in any market. Farmerscan not spend a little time to better advantage than to go throngh the wheat fields in the early part of June and cut the rye out clean.
