A. C. Dixon spent Snnday at Lambert Uphans'. Frank and AlbertTrolz spent Snnday with their parents. Mrs. George Vogeding died on Tnesday of bearc disease. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Haag, of Jaokson, visited at Larnbert Uphans' over Snnday. Rev. Geo. L. Monnt and wife, of Concord, visited at Edrnund Rowe's last week. Frank Scbafer, while assisting John Spafard, feJl from a load of hay and broke his arm. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Trolz attended the Banr-Strums wedding in Bridgewater on Wednesday. Miss Lonise Pieper rode np frotn Clinton on her wheel and spent Sunday with her sister, Airs. Henry B. Steinigeweg. Frank Hall, of Norvell, son of onr jopnlar snpevisor, Wm. F. Hall, has jeen very ill with inflammation of the bowels. Mr. and Mrs. James Harper, of Shaftsbnrg, Mich., are visiting their danghter, Mrs. Myron C. Pierce. Mr. and Mrs. Geo. D. Pardee and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Pardee went to Cambridge on Wednesday to attend the funeral of Mortimer Meyers. The baseball season in Sharon was opened last Satnrday by a game beween the North Sharon boys on one ide and East Sharou on the other. The latter won by a score of 16 to 15. Edwin Uphans, who is now acknowledged to be the best amatecr pitchr in this secfcion, pitohed for Clinton n the game with Lake Ridge last Saturay. Mr. Uphaus struek ont 13 men nd assisted two others ont at first, thns practically winning the game. His ontrol of tbe ball was quite remarka)le, only one of his opponents receiving base on ball.
