Tuesday morning at about 6:30 the superintendent, A. W. Morgan, and one of the bosses, Joseph Erbeland, were escorting one of the men to work. A ■crowd of minersinterfered, which caused a row and Morgan and Ebeland comtnenced to shoot, killing instantly a young married miner named John Wetoski, and wounding another.
