H. L. Cone In Trouble Again

Henry Lee Cone, the medical student who created a sensation sorae weeks ago by stealing his baby from his wife in tbis city and taking it to Cincinnati, wbere he stopped onder an assumed name, olaiming to be a widower, is again in trouble. After the abduction of the baby JVlrs. Cone went to Battle Creek to live with ber fatber, Mr. Gros. Reoently Cone pnt in an appearanoe where his wife and baby were stopping, and demanded admittance to the house. The doors were looked and an offloer was sent for to protect them. Cone left and bas since been living in another section of the city. Reoently he has been picking berries for a living. Thursday rnorning of last week he started out to the berry farm and on the way met his wife's brother, Ed. P. Gros. He is alleged to have made an aasault upon Gros, pushed him off his wheel. took the wheel and smashed it against a tree and ent the tire. Gros got out a warrant for the arrest of Coue on a charge of inalicions destruction of property. He was arraigned before Jnstice Lewis and waived examination, and was held for trial at the next term of court, the bail being flxed at $500. The offleer took him to the city hall, and as the city jail was being fumigated and no prisoners oonld be admitted, he was locked up in the pólice room. Cone opened a window adjoining another block, reached across and climbed into the window of a physioian's office and made his escape, and has not been captnred. Mrs. Cone has commenced proceedings in the Calhuun county court for divorce.
