Washington, June 22. - The president Tuesday sent the following nominations to the senate: J. Otis Humphrey, to be attorney for the southern district of Illinois; Charles P. Hitch, to be marshal for the southern district of Illinois; Richard Yates of Illinois, to be collector of internal revenue for the Eighth district of Illinois; John Goodnow of Minnesota, to be consul general at Shanghai, China; Horace "W. Metcalf of Maine, to be consul at New Castleon-Tyne, England; I. Edwin Dudley of Massachusetts, to be consul at Vancouver, B. C,
