A Pleasing Piano Recital. The annnal recital of the piano pupih of Miss Minnie Davis at the Ann Ar bor Mnsic Co. 's rooms Tnesday eveniug, was au occasion fraught with a great deal of interest to the numerous friends and relatives of the participants, who had gathered to witness the iruprovement each bad made nnder the skillful direction of their instructor. Tbe Misses Effle Godfrey, Ola Niles, Rena Stofflet, May Kennedy and Lulu Daley were those who took part in the program and they acquitted theiuselves in a highly satisfaotory manner. "Cnmparisons are odious" and the Aigus wil] not attempt to raake any in this oonnectiou. The pleasure of the occasion was greatly enhanced by Master Fred Daley's singing of Ds Pinna's "üaily Chant the Snmmer Birds. " He was enoored and in response sang Neidlinger's "Robin." Sinoe adopting its new traiu schedule the Ann Arbor Railroad makes irumediate connections with otner lines on its uiorning trains for Mouroe, Poutiac, Lansiug, Graad Rapids, Ionia, Manistee and Taverse City; on its afteruoon trains for Pontiac, Lansing, Grand Rapids, Ionia, Saginaw, Bay City and Flint. The morning trains make good connectious for Adrián, Hülsdale, Mauohester, Muskegon, Petoskey, Bay View and Mackinaw City. South bound trains rnake conneotions with all lines ont of Toledo.
