London, June 29. - A great sensaticn has been created at Odessa, and, indeed, throughout southern Russia, by the announcement that Rev. D. W. Ford, the well-knüwn chaplaln of the AngloAmerican church at Odessa, has committed suicide for no known cause by hanging hirnself in the sacred building, which is not to be uaed for divine services again until it has been solemnly reconsecrated by a bishop sent out from England for the purpose.
