Charged With Murder

Hayward, Wis.,July 6. - Eugene Buell, a farmer, near here, lies in jail charged with the murder of Fred Nelson, with whom he was associated in business last September and who has not been seen since. At that time Nelson drew J400 from the bank here and went off with Buell. The next report was that on account of some scrapeNelson had been forced to leave this part of the country temporarily, Earüy last winter Buell bought a farm a few miles west of here, paying cash for most of it. It seems that parties have been searching the woods on the quiet since the snow, has gone off and a couple of days ago a man. named Wetenhall and an Indian were going along an oíd trail near Round Lake. They carne across a jawbone and pieces of the skull of a man and in a clump of bushes near by they found the clothing and the rest of the well-picked bones of a human body. The top of the skull had been crushed in by a heavy blow. The clothins: was identified as belonging to Nelson. Buell was immediately put in jail on suspicion. He was called up for his preliminary hearing but waivedexaminationand it was postponed until Thursdav.
