The university summer school opened Wednesday aDd the total tegistration in all departrnents is abont 250. The school will run fqr sis weeks. The executive coinmittee at the head of its affairs is Prof. E. A. Lynian, chairman, Prof. Ernest H. MeDsel, secretary, arjd Profs. F. M. Taylor, J. H. Drake and Karl E. Gnthe. Work in the law department began Monday with 35 studens enrolled. This is an increase over the atteudance at the law school last suminer. In all there are 35 professors and instrnctors retained for summer work, six in the Jaw and 29 in the literary department. Courses are offered in all the regular subjects of importanoe and a large nuinber of summer school students are teachers who make use of this opportnnity to perfect themselves in thmr chosen line of work. In ad dition to the regular work special courses of free lectures are given. During this sommer Ptof. B. Al. Thompson will lecture on "The Jndioial System of the Jews; "Prof. J. C. Knowlton will lecture on "'The Trial of Jesus f rom a Lawyer's Standpoint;" and Prof. H. L. Wilgus will lectuie on "The Magna Charta."
