Herbejt Y. Wbeeler, better knowu as "Boston" Wheeler, has returued tu Saline, Washtenaw county, as an beir to 1500,000 recently left hirn by bis father. Soine few years ago the eider Wlieeler carne out from Boston and purcbasing a farm north of Saline, built a fine modern bouse on it and established bis son as manager of tbe place. It was said that tbs yonng man bad been pretty wild and bis fatber took tbis course in order to bring tbe yonng man into closer tonob with tbe stern realities of life. Besides what tbe son could reap from the farm he was allowed $50 per raontb. Young Wheeler feil madly in love with oau of Saline's maidens and a marriage resulted. It is said that if youiig Wheeler bad ever sown any wild oats before marriage, he discontinued growing any of the erop after he feil in love and nothing that could be desired by bis wife was left nnprovided for her comfort and ease. Last spring Mrs. Wheeler was taken sick and after aboui two weeks of illness her husband got word from Boston that his father was dying. He thought it safe to leave his wife and took the train for the east. No sooner had he arrived than he got a telegram tbat bis wife was dead He returned to Saline and irumediately reoeived word that bis father was dead. The estáte of the eider Wheeler has been probated and it was found that "Boston"was a semi-millionaire. The man has beoome so accustomed to the beauties of farm life that he has announced his intention of living at Saline permanently, notwithstanding the fact that he coutrols 500,000 wortb of property, and bas renounoed the city life, which no longer bolds out any attraetions for hiin.
