Proseonting Attorney Kirk was trying tbe case of the The People vs. Charles M. Smart in Justice Joslyn's oourt at Ypsilanti, Wednesday, and was examining a witness. Said Uody to the womau "Let's see, yon married a colored man didn't yon?" " Yes," promptly replied the woman. "Don't yon think it rather an unusual thing to do for a white woman to marry a colored man?" asked the proseontor. "Yes," she quickly answered,"but my eister did worse than that. " " Whac did she do?" asked Kirk. "She married a flannel moutbed Irisbman!" said the woman. And then there was a silence on the part of the prosecuting attorney, so far as any fnrther qnestioning of that woman was concerned, which might have been feit.
