IN ACCIDENT. Mr. Qaintns Hammei, of 118 Michigan Ave., Detroit, tells a War Story of his owii Experienee, and the Kesult (.From Detroit News.) Our representad ve called at 118 Michi gan Avenue, the residence of Mr. Quintu Hummel. Mr. Hummel is a veteran o the late war, and received, in the campaign an injury which has given him much pait and suffering since. He belonged to a Michigan cavalry regiment and his hors becoming frightened one day reared up throwing him backward. ín falling h struck his spine on a sharp stone, inflict ing a deep cut over five inehes long. The injury aiïected the kidneys. About two years ago the left kidney started to bleed and has been doing so ever since. Mr Hummel, in a few pointed sentences, gave our representative the following account . "The accident of my 'wardays' lef me in bad shape; pain in my back aut spine rendered me almost useless, and ', vas compelled to give up work entiTely I could not turn over in bed without assist unce. I have spent hundreds of dollars in various ways trying to find relief. Physi eians have told me my spine was honey eombed for 13 inehes.
