On Satnrday last the opera honse blook, the store adjoiuiug it and the vacant lot back of the jail ncw nsed as a wood inarket was sold by the W. M White estáte to L. J. Lisemer, edito of the Times and Hausfreund-Post It is understood that the purchase price was uot f ar f rom $30,000. Mr. Lise mer will forro a joint stock cornpany after the style of the Katherine Build ing Uo. and the Washington Building Co., which will have eoütrol of th property. Anything that will bring a chang iu the management of the opera hons from that which has characterized i for the past few years will be heartily enrïorsed by the theater going public 'and it is believed that a change wil result in a more liberal course beiug pursned iu the fntnre, and in the im provemeut of the house botb for th comfort of those w-h o atteud it and o the actors who play in it.
