Ttmrsday nest, Ang. 12, is GermanAruerican day and it is expected thafc all the citizens of Wasbtenaw oounty wbo are of Germán extraction will be in Dester on that day, as tbat is the place where the celebration is biüed to be held. The speakers of the day will be H. Wirt Newkirk, judge of probate, and Loáis J. Liseruer, editor of the Times and Hansfreund-Post. The good people of Dexter are raaking every arrangement to properly take care of the nunierous gnests that they expeot will be with tbem on tbat day and they invite everybody to go and have a good time. The exercises will be beid in Sehmitt's grove near the village and in the rnorning a procession of resident and visiting societies will take place. It is expected tbat there will be six bands of music present on the ocoasion. The officers of the day are Ernesfc Elsasser president, Jacob Heller secretary, and J. Jedele, marshal.
