A cow was quietly grazing by the Wbitniore Lake bicyole path on the Allen hill the other day, when a scorcher went sailiug by on his bicyole. The scorcher paiü little attention to the oow, whose horns were jast on the path and the cow was apparently too intent apon the delicióos tnfts of grass it was storing away for cnds to pay rnuch attenton to the bioycle. So the scoicher scorched by intending to rniss the cow's horns by bnt about three inches. He tnissed them, bnt the cow with one of tbose qnick nngainly kicks wbich only a cow can ícake effective strnck ont and knocked tbe tire entiiely off the wheel. Mr. Sooreher had to walk to the city.
