William Walker, of Dexter, was a soldier in a New ïork regiment during tbe war and at its close be was honorably disoharged and granted a pension for disability. The pension oontinned for several years, but 24 years ago it ■was discontinned. Throngb the agenoy of W. K. Childs, of Ann Arbor, Mr. Walker bas jnst sncceeded in getting reinstated on the pension list with a monthly allowance of $12. He will aleo reoeive abont a year's baok pension.
