A letter was received at the oounty treasurer's office Friday which created considerable surprise to that official and others who saw it ou account of the iofrequeucy of such cases of extreme bonesty after mauy days. It was as follows: "Mr. Treasnrer of Washtenaw Co. : "Dear Sir, - Sorne years ago when the Wabash Railroad was first built and while living iu Augusta township, I was üalled on to Eerve as juror in the circuit coort. As I was about to return borne the clerk gave roe a check to go by way of Milan to Willis and tbeuce home - making abont 24 miles. I could get home by way of Ypsilanti in about 10 miles by walkiug down froin ypsilanti, raaking a difference of eight miles. After taking the T. & A. A. train the conductor inforrned me that theie was no connection at Milan so I ohanged at Pittsford and went by way of Ypsilanti. It bappened to ocour to me while in Ann Arbor that I had overdrawn and seeing that it shonld be paid I send you herewith P. O. order for 85 cents and 3 cents for a receipt. "Yours respectfully, "A. B. DEEBYSHIRE, "Mantón, Mich." As the treasurer did not know in what fund the leturned mouey could be consistently placed at this late day, the money was returned to the sender.
