Big Purchase Of Lumber

Menominee, Mich., Aug. 17.- Smith, Fassett & Co. of Tonawanda, O., have purchased 5,000,000 feet of mili run white pine lumber from the Spalding Lumber company, which is now being sawed at the Cedar River milis. The deal was closed Tuesday, and involves a consideration of about $85,000. The lumber will be shipped by water as soon as cut.
