Arrest Of An Embezzler
Chicago, Aug. 17.- After successfully evading the pĆ³lice for over a year Edward Huber, who was the chief clerk and treasurer of the Standard Cabinet company of Peru, Ind., was captured here by Chicago detectives and placed in a cell at detective headquarters on a charge of wrecking the cabinet concern by absconding with $30,000. Huber ia 21 yeara of age and had won the confidence of the stockholders of the company. One day last July he went away, but no attention was paid to his absence until some time had elapsed and until the books of the company had been examined.
