Chicago, Aug. 17.- Four firemen were seriously hurt by the falling of a porch at Twenty-flrst and Spring streets at 4 o'clock Tuesday morning. When the dames were nearly extinguished Marshal Heaney, accompanied by Captain ■George Marks and two truckmen, made their way to the porch in the rear. "While they were making an exammation the porch suddenly gave way, pre■cipitating them to the ground, a distance oí thirty-fïve feet. Captain Marks was removed to Mercy hospital. The attending physician said that recovery was doubtful. Truckman William Mc■Cullom is also badly hurt. At a late hour hi9 condition was considered senous.
