Montgomery, Ala., Aug. 24. - The state of Alabama finds itself in the unusual predicament of having no United States marshal. The commission of United States Marshal Tisdale, for the middle and southfirn districts of Alabama, expired Monday and it is the opiniĆ³n bf the lawyers that there is now no marshal. Mr. Tisdale resigned in July. At the request of the attorney general he has continued in office, but he is of the opnion that his commission having expired he cannot discharge the duties cf the office unless he is reappointed and makes a new bond.
