Tüeron Fisk, of Clinton, is visiting frieuds in this vicinity. Mr. Alban, of Willis, will teach the Grove school the coming year. Born, to Air. and Airs. Geo. Roberts, formerly of this place, a boy. Mrs. Jaems Thompson and danghter, of Detroit, have beeu the guests of Airs. The Alisses Eva and Francés Miloch have returned to their home in Detroit. Clifford Laflin has retnrned from his trip to Port Hurón, Chathana and Detroit. . The O. N. O. Club met with the Mieses Georgia and Ida Covert last Satnrday evening. Aliss Anna Chaliners has retnrned from Jackson, where sbe bas been teaching in the sumrner echool. Airs. Belle Laflin and danghter Beth, of Frankfort, Alioh., have beeu the guests of Lewis Laflin and farnily. The girls of the O. N. O. Club gave a "snap bubble" party at the Alisses Warner's last Wednesday evening. Qneen Watling for the past two weeks. Mrs. Charley Begole, of Flint, is tbe gnest of her sister Airs. H. H. Webb. Miss Leolyn Niohols gave a "hideand-go seek" party tbe other evening in honor of her guests the Misses Milooh. Aliss Bertha Aloore aud brother Porter left last Alouday morniug for Des Aloines.Iowa, for the benefit of Porter's health. Mr. and Mrs. John Chahners and Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Rose left last Monday night fur Mackinao Island, Sault Ste. Marie and other northern points. The 7 o'olock motor killed a oow belonging to Prof. J. B. Steere last Sunday evening. The passengers were badly shaken np as well as somewhat frightened, The P. ü. S. S. held its annnal pionic Wednesday of last week on the lawn of Adelbert Harris. The program consisted of remarks by Elders Ryan and Fairfleld, recitations by the Misses Louise Blair and Lncretia Case, solo by Dan Ellsworth, trio by the Misses Emma Sherwood, Florence Warner and Sara Parsons, and mnsio by the P. U. S. S. ohoir.
