At the meeting of the Aun Arbor Sohool board Tuesday evening the budget of expenses for the ensning year was made np. It provides for expenditnres as follows: Teachers, $37,025; janitors, $1,750; libraries, $500; secretary and treasnrer, $375; truant officpr, $100; bonds, $2,000; interest, $380; gas, $150; water, $200; improvements and inoidentals, $1,000; insurance, $200; overdraft, $6,066; fuel, $2,050; total, $51,796. The expenses ate to be met ty the following reoeipts: Mili tas, $7,000; primary sohool fuud, $4,000; tuition, $6,300; to be asssessed this year, $34,496; total $51,796 The board decided to ask the distriot for $33,000, antioipatiug that some of the receipts for tnition, etc., will be inoreased during the year. The committee appoiuted therefor reported on the Graham-Forsythe text book law. It recorumended that the qnestion be snbrnitted to the legal voters of the district, at the annual school meeting next JVJouday, whether our schools shall have free text books, uniform text books or the present system.
