Childs and shows the followiDg figures: The assessment this year is $2.70 on $1,000, 30 cents less than last year. The total losses adj usted amouut to $10,699.11, and not adjusted, bnt estimated, $1,650. There vvere 46 losses in alt daring the year and of theEe lightning was the cause of 18. The townsbip of Pittsfield furnished over half the total amount of losses, $,313.24, divided iuto 8 losses. Losses in the other townships were as follows: Soio 3, York 4, Ann Arbor 2, Kridgewater 1, Salem 3, Superior 2, Webster 3, Northfield 4, Sharon 3, Lima 6, Augusta 4, Manchester 1, Dexter 1, Sylvan 1. The unadjusted loss is that of A. R. Graves, Ypsilanti, estimated at $1,650.
