Charles Smith, who lives on a farm in Ann Arbor town, was stabbed iu the arm with a jackknife by Fred Maok, a laborar of this city, on W. Huron st., Monday afternoon. Smith was taking Maok's wife and childten out to his farm in a lamber wagon, becanse, as ie said, they were not properly supported by Mnok, and was driving aloDg W. Hurun st., whtu Aiaok saw the party from where he was working. He at once mado for Sujith and after stabbing him in the arm oommenced to make tbings lively for all parties with a piece of board, the cbildren narrowly escapiug some nard knocks Depnty Canfield happened along and arrested Maok, while Smith went to a doctor and had his wound dressed.
