Somerset, Pa., Sept. 7. - President and Mrs. MeKinlpy and party arrived here from Cantón in a special car at 8 o'cloek Tuesdaymorning ar.d vvill pass the week at the summer residence of the prcsident's brother, Abner MeKinley. A reception committee of twenty prominent citizens in carriages met the distinguished visltors at the station and escorted them over the principal stree'.s of the town to the MeKinley home. Mr. Abner MeKinley thinks he can prevai: upon the president and Mrs. MeKinley to remain over Sunday and it is probable a public demonstratlon will be a.rranged for by the citizens of the town, but nothing in this direction will be done untü the president has been consulted.
