tíeorge Spathelf'siueat rnarketon the north side was entered by burglars, who were evidently well acquainted with the prernises, on Friday night. Entranoe was eñ'ected through a window in the cellar. The safe was open ed and about $80 in silver was taken In the safe weie some gold watches anc checks which were overlooked by th theives. Tbree men, Ernest Ely, bntcher who formerly worked for Mi Spathelf, Irving Jones, a coloree man, who bas jast got through servin a term in the state prison, and Joh West were arrested on snspicion of be ing the guilty parties and were lodge in iail. On Tuesday one of the men arreste weakened and made a oonfession whic implicated two coíored women, Mrs Francia McCoy and her daughter Tina and they were arrested and locked up The whole party will have an examina tiun before Justice Duflfy on Monday. Yesterday moruing the privy vaul behind the house ccnpied by Mrs. McCoy in the hollow opposite the uorth side of the Michigan Central depot, where the money was claimed by Ely to be hidden,was searched and over 20 was foand tied up in a handerkcheif. Auotber amouut of $10 has also been found.
