They had fun in legisïaters Witn the man who raised potaters If by any hook or crook or chance electecl and sent there: And those reportorial friskers Used to comment on his whiskers And the carpet Back of Billson, who had hayseed in bis hair. Yes, by rum, he rode his pass out, And he used to blow the aas out, And he'd drink hard eider wben he went upon a tear; And he used to equeeze the dollar 'Till the btizzard had to holler: The man cut up ridiculous that had hayseed in his hair. But. by gum, if you've been reading You'll ob-erve astrange proceeding, 'Tis the fellow wlth chin whiskers that is slowly setting there: And it won t be too surprising If. by slowly oreamzlng, Old parties may wake up and fiud hayseed in their hair.
