Attempt To Burn A Village

Omaha, Neb., Sept. 28. - A desperate attempt to burn the village of Arlingtcn, in Washington county. about twenty miles from hére, was made Tuesday morning. The watchman discovered two men on the street at 4 o'clock with masks. He gave chase but they escaped. Simultaneously fire broke out in iour places. The villagers turned out and by dint of desperate work saved much property from destruction. The total loss is about $35.000.
