Washington, Oct. 5. - Indian agent at Tuskahoma. I. T., wired the Indian bureau TueFday that the presence of troopa I had averted trouble at the meeting of the Choctaw council Monday and that he thoug-ht all the danger was ncw over. He reported that the lower heuse of the council failed to effect, a permanent cvganization and that the senate, being eomposed cf hold-overs, organiztd promptly. He says that the council will be about equally divided on the question of'the ratification of the Dawes agreement. He added that excitement there was considerably allayed, owing to the prom.pt action of the interior department and the presenee of TTnited States troops eer.t by thém to avert the threatened trouble.
