In the show window of Maok & Co. 's store is exhibited a neatly franied relio of bygone days in the shape of a time discolored handbill which reads as follows: "Attention - Iudignation Meeting. The Citizens of A2n Arbor are requested to meet at the court house this evening at 6 'dook, to take into consideration the couduct of the Paoulty of the University of Michigan in expelliug all students belouging to Secret Sooieties!" This is signed "Many Citizens" and dated "December 20, 1849." Many of the older residents ■who are still left have vivid recollecI tions of the affair.
