Ann Arbor Lodge, No. 325, B. P. O. Elks, will give a vaudeviJle benefit entertainment of high class specialtiea at the Atbens Theater, Friday evening, Nov. 12, for the benefit nf its charity I fund. The local Elks will be assisted by talent from Toledo, Jackson, Flint and ' Detroit. The managers of the theaters in Detroit, in unisón with the managers of theatrical companies tbat will be iu that city during that week, have kindly consentecl to loan the Ann Arbor Elks such professional talent as can be selected from the different companies. A souvenir program for this important event in Ann Arbor Elkdoru is being gotten up and will be a handsume piece of woik. It will be a pamphlet of abont 50 pages and will coutain some very interesting matter, giving a general history of the order, ontlining the method of Charity, Justioe, Fidelity and Brotherly Love, and also a list of past and present officers, pgetíier with a roster of raembership. The personnel of the performance will be continued throngh all its pages and novel cuts will adorn each leaf and with the artistic arrangement of the advertiseraents the progam will really be a keepsake. The cover is to be of fine fibre-cloth paper of deep purple color trimmed in gold, The inside pages will be printed on heavy enameled paper in royal pnrpie ink. A novel feature iu connection with this souvenir program will be the prizes oiïered. A description of which is fonud in thefollowiag announcement taken from the second page of the program : "By kind perrnission of onr advertisers some of the words in the advertisements of the program have been purposely rnisspelled. To tbose persons who send to the address giveu below correct lists of these rnisspelled words, the benefit cummittee offers the following prizes: 'First prize - Five-poand box of best candies or one bos Elks BonqneÈ cigars. "Second prize - Threepound box best candies or one pair ladies" or gentlemen's kid gloves. "Third prize - Two-pouud box candies or one pocket knife. "Fourth prize - One pound box candies or one lineu handkerchief. "All lists wil] be kept sealed as received until the close of the contest, December 1. They will then be arranged according to the order iu whioh they were mailed as shown by the postraark, aud opeued coasecutively begianing with the earliest. The first correct list, aceording to the consecntive opening, will be awarded the first prize, the second correct list the second pEize, and so on. Orders for the articles of the different prizes will be mailfid immpdiatfilv to thñ Renders. There are no otner :onditions; the competition is open to ïvery one and will be conducted in an absoltuely fair and impartial maaner. rhe prizes are ofiered simply to enconrage the careful examiuatiou of the advertisers.
