Ann Arbor Humane Society

During the past year tlie Humane Society through it3Oíflcers bas been doing a very active and good work. Marshal Sweet bas shot 15 or more horses and numerous other animáis that have been found neglected, disabled, or in a diseased condition. Besides this he has looked aftera 25 or 30 ehüdren j v!io have been neglected by their parent. He says he often finds five and six children living in a hovel uneared for by the father and mother. During the year more than 60 cases of cruelty to animáis have been reported to J. J. Goodyear, president of the society.
