' Baltimore, Nov. 3.- With semi-official returns from all the counties in the state except St. Mary's and Calvert, and fairly good estimates frcm there, the Democrats appear to have elected enough members to the next legislatura to give them a majority of five on joint ballot and to insure them a United States senator to succeed Senator Gorman. Official returns may be necessary to decide the position of some of the counties, and these may alter the result, but from the best obtainable figures at this time, the Democrats appear to have a total of sixty-one legislative votes, while the Republicans have flfty-six. The state senate will be Republican by a probable majority of four, while the Democrats appear to have captured the lower house by a majority of nine.
