Simia, Nov. 3. - A dispatch from Mastura says that Sir Wüliam Loekhart's columns are encamped in the Maidan valley, a hitherto unknovvn district, which the Afridis had boasted no invader could penétrate. A column visited the notorius mosque and grove at Bagh, where the Afridis rising originated and which has been the center of the political and fanatical intrigue that has animated the outbreaks of the tribesmen. The mosquil was left untouched and was not entered, but the trees in the grove were hewed down as a mark of punishment and a sign of victory. The enemy offered a feeble resistance and was easily dispersed, but as yet the tribesmen have made no proposals of peace.
