Fort Duchesne, Utah, Nov. 2.-rHeports have been received here whicta if true - and from their source there can be no doubt as to their reliability - confirm the belief that there was not much if any foundation for the wild reports in circulation regarding killing and burning by the Indians. These reports also state that the only story with any foundation whatever for truth was that a white courier had been fired upon. Owing to the great excitement this was probably magnifled to an alarming extent. One of the worst Indiana on the Uintah reservation has arrived home, and this fact alone would be sufficient to shov that there was no caus-e for. alarm, as he would be the last to leave if there was any disturbance. The only trouble apprehended here was that the arrival of the wounded squaws would incite the Indians, but they have arrived and the agency is quiet as usual, except for the wailing of the relatives of the dead and wounded.
