Quebec, Can., Nov. 2. - One man was fatally injured and three others badly hurt by the explosión of the hoisting engine of George M. Webster & Co., while discharging the cargo of the bark Curona. Naziere Cantin, chief engineer, had a great hole blown in his head and cannot recover. Chief Officer Holmes was hurled about twenty-flve feet and badly bruteed. Third Officer Taggart was thrown into a cook's galley, thirty feet away, and had a narrow escape from death, and Engineer Donnelly was blown into the river and was with difflculty saved from drowning.
