Mrs. A. D. Crittenden is slowly improving. Mrs. Porter Hinokley is dangeronsly ill with pneumonía. Mr. Falk, of Milan, is spending a few days in this vioinity. The ü. N. O. met with the Misses Ried last Saturday avening. Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Armbrnster are spending a few days in Detroit. The P. U. S. S. has closed its 18th eeason of Sabbath School work. O. C. Sherwood now drives a new boggy, purohased in Ann Arbor. DeLanoy Begcle has engaged in farraiug and may be fonnd at A. D. Critterr den's. Bessie, the little danghter of Wm. Collar is convalesoiug froni her recent illness. The Ladies' Aid Sooiety holds its meeting for this month with Mrs. W. P. Elliott. Mrs. Blair Hinokley and ohildren have moved on the Haywood farm for the winter. Miss Baitha Moore has taken up the dnties as teacher in the Thorn school for the rest of the year. Will Palmer, who was kicked by a horse while driving Herman Rayer's milk wagon is improving. C. C. Sherwood and H. H. Webb i went fishing on Horseshoe Iiake recently. "Big fish sturies, and a few five inoh fish." Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Whiting have moved to Ann Arbor and Ben Scbelhorn has moved into their honse on the motor line. Severai of the young people attended the play of "ünole Tom's Cabin" at the opera house in Ypsilanti last Monday evening. The yonug people of the C. E. at Carpenrer's Corners are talking of orgauizing a sinsjng sohool and reading oircle or a literary society. Marriages rnn thiok lately. Mr. Frank Harwood and Miss Ruth Watliing were reoenty married, also Mr. Frank Siegel and Miss Daisy Colby and Mr. Hugh Titus and Miss Anna M. Coombs.
