The daily announcement of sudden deaths from heart disease oannot lead to any other conolusion than that there is not a proper realization of the danger in negleoting the indications of heart trouble. Soientists teil us that one person in every fonr bas a weak or diseased heart, yet we go on as if sure it is one of the other three and use onr heart mtich as we nse a timepieoe, letting it run until it stops. But a series of sudden deaths cf prominent people, snch as Herman, the magioian, Gen. Walker, and niany others, kaown to have had abundant opportunities for the advice and treatment of eminent physicians; warns everyone of the possiblity of sharing the same fate. Many heart diseases ooonr without any warning of pain, but there are always danger signáis thrown out, such as irregularity of the heart's aotion, palpitation, feeble oiroulation, altérnate hot flashes and cold chills, bungry spells without appetite, etc, followed by severe pains in the región of the heart, a sense of tightness about the chest, choking and smothered spells, and later, swelling of the feet and ankles and inability to lie down without fear of sulïocation.
