Treasurer Sonle.of the U. of M., wil! s.oon publish his report for the year ending July 1. 1897. The largest source of income is the one-sixtb mili tax, amouuting to $141,249.90. The students fees amonnted to $164,127.59. The interest oo the sale of lands reaohed $46,160 19. The appropriation of $20,000 for the electric plant and miscellaneous inoome raised the total to $418,932.98. Amoug the donations were from the F. D. Bennett scholarship fund, $150; Detroit arohanological fund. $200; library of early Christian literature, $265; Scripps' library fnnd, $527.90. Over $5,000 was raised for tbe woman's gymnasium, thereby reducina the deficit to abont $6.000.
