The society put for ward as its reason for not paying tbe benefits that Wnerthner was uot sick enongh to warrant bis receiving aic from the sick fnud of the sooiety. The trial was condncted before Jns tice Kingsley and was adjourned from his office to the Arbeiter hall to acoorn modate the large crowds that atteuded The jury broopht in a verdict for Wnerthner for $78. When Wnerthner put in his claim for the benefits he was expelled from the order. In consequentie considerable feeliDg has been shown on both sides. Wuerthner will also bring snit against the society for reinstatement and for slander.
