A Fire Alarm System

James C. Tryon, of Detroit, has made a propositiou to the oomtnon oounoil to pat in a fire alarm systeru iu Add Arbor at what may be a sinall co6t to the city. He proposes on a 15 years contract to ereet 20 fire alarm sigual boxes in convenient places, equipped wth an eleotric alarm system, the city to pnt np the poles and wires. In return for this Mr. Tryon wants the privilege of usiiig the outside of these booths for advertisiug purposes. The sóbeme was brought up at the council meetiüg Monday eveuing and was referred to the fire coiumittee.
